The 2019 edition of the Dallas International Film Festival will feature over 130 films from more than 35 countries, including five world premieres, one U.S. premiere, 37 Texas premieres, and 15 Dallas premieres. Highlights include opening night film Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, starring Zac Efron as Ted Bundy.
Other highlights include Running with Beto, a documentary about Beto O'Rourke's campaign for Senate in 2018; the Dallas premiere of Her Smell, starring Elisabeth Moss as a fading punk rock superstar; Brian Banks, a film about a wrongly-convicted football star trying to reclaim his life; and Them That Follow, a film about members of an isolated community of Pentecostal snake handlers starring Walton Goggins and Olivia Colman.
There will also be a special 55th anniversary screening of Goldfinger and 40th anniversary screening of The Muppet Movie. Screenings will take place at Magnolia Theater, West Village in Uptown Dallas; Studio Movie Grill, Royal Lane; and Dallas Museum of Art.
