Dallas’ favorite community farmers market, Good Local Markets, kicks off the the Vickery Meadow Market. This year the market is on the east side of Half Price Books, just outside the Black Forest Cafe.

With more than 100 vendors throughout the year, popular growers, ranchers and artisans expected at Good Local Markets include Baugh Farms, Caliper Farm to Market, Cardo’s Sprout Farm, Chandler Family Farm, Demases Farm, The EMA Baking Co, The Empire Baking Co., Half Moon Fried Pie Co,  Trans.lation Café, International Rescue Committee New Roots, Kitchen Pride Mushroom Farm, Laraland Farms, Lonesome Lady Ranch, Pachi Pachi Valley Cheese, Rae Lili Farm, Savor Pâtisserie, Texas Honeybee Guild, Van Cleave Dry Goods, Yim’s Foods.  Arts and crafts vendors include Aliona K, Best Bug Bait, BigTatLilTat, Choca Loca, Cuddles & Curls, Hobos & Moonshine, New Bayou Naturals, Solid, The Sunshine Store, The Shabby Sheep, Trans.lation, The White Rock Soap Gallery and Zenwill.

Good Local Markets is a 501 (c)(3) tax exempt nonprofit organization which supports local farmers, ranchers and artisans by providing a public space to sell fruits, vegetables, cheese, meats, hand-crafted foods and other products while serving thousands of residents looking for healthy and locally sourced foods. Additionally Good Local Markets offers the Lone Star food stamp program, Love Your Farmer volunteer days, educational programs and workshops.
