Lone Star Beer will present the inaugural Lone Star Beer Texas Heritage Festival series, taking place over the last four Saturdays in August in San Antonio, Houston, Dallas and Austin. Each date will bring the best in Texas music, Texas food and Texas beer.
The Lone Star Beer Texas Heritage Festival will feature some of the best music of Texas with performances by the Old 97's, alt-country favorites from Dallas who released their 10th studio album, Most Messed Up, in 2014. Also set to play are Austin's sons of psychedelic rock The Black Angels; Austin-based Grammy Award-winning Latin funk orchestra Grupo Fantasma, who have performed with everyone from Prince and Maceo Parker to Spoon and Daniel Johnston; Austin honky-tonk legend Dale Watson; soul singer and Corpus Christi native LaTasha Lee & The BlackTies; and others.
A delicious variety of local food vendors will bring tasty Texas food unique to each city. The Lone Star Beer Texas Heritage Festival will also include a Texas-sized assortment of entertaining activities specially curated for Festival guests.
Each date in the series is free and open to the public for ages 21 and over. Attendance is first come, first served and limited to capacity. However, a limited number of tickets will also be offered for $25, which will guarantee admission until 7 pm on the day of the festival. 100% of the proceeds from those ticket sales will go to charity. Proceeds from the Dallas date will benefit the North Texas Food Bank.
