NorthPark Center will present the “Fifty Years of Excellence” Birthday Bash. Fifty years ago, the retail landscape of North Texas forever changed with the opening of NorthPark Center. The one-day celebration will include shopping, fashion, art, music and throw-back surprises.

Activities will include:

• Art Meets Fashion: 1965-2015 - Level One between Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom. View 29 looks spanning 50 years of fashion presented by the University of North Texas’ Fashion Collection. Don’t miss DJ Lucy Wrubel spinning music through the decades from 12 – 5 pm.
• Kim Dawson Model Search - NorthCourt, located on Level One between Nordstrom and Macy’s. Discover who will be the new face in fashion. Open to girls ages 13 to 22 and guys ages 15 to 24. 11 am – 1:30 pm
• The ABC’s of Back to School Style - NorthCourt, located on Level One between Nordstrom and Macy’s. Get excited about heading back to school with the latest children’s fashions from NorthPark Center. This year's ABC’s of Back to School fashion show, free to the public, will feature looks from Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Macy’s, Dillard’s, GAP, Banana Republic, Gymboree, Janie & Jack and Peek...Aren’t you Curious. 3 pm.
• Birthday Cake Celebration - NorthCourt, located on Level One between Nordstrom and Macy’s. At the conclusion of the ABC’s of Back to School fashion show, celebrate with free cake and special surprises. 4 pm.

There will also be special performances and entertainment throughout the day with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s Youth Strings, Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, Cancer Blows, European Strings Quartet, Creative Arts Center and Anita N. Martinez Ballet Folklorico presented by AT&T Performing Arts Center.
