Those Crazy Rich Kids
Feud between Mark Cuban and Donald Trump heats up on Twitter
You'd think that Mark Cuban and Donald Trump would have a lot in common. But full pockets and heads of hair aren't enough for those two crazy rich kids to forge a friendship.
Instead, Cubes and The Donald frequently find themselves at odds with each other. The feud spilled over from television to Twitter after Cuban was a guest on The Tonight Show with Jay Lenoon March 13.
Cuban read a letter from Trump that consoled the billionaire on the failure of his 2004 show The Benefactor. Trump has enjoyed great success with The Apprentice, and Cuban eventually found his reality-show footing with Shark Tank.
But Trump got in a good kick when Cuban was (temporarily) down.
I am truly sorry to hear that your show has been canceled for lack of ratings. When I initially called you to congratulate you on The Benefactor, little did you or I realize how disastrous and embarrassing it would turn out to be for you. If you ever decide to do another show, please call me and I will be happy to lend a helping hand.
Trump fired back the next day with a flurry of tweets :
I watched Mark Cuban on Jay Leno last night - what a jerk!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 14, 2013Dummy @mcuban made up a story about a visit to Mar-a-Lago last night on Leno. It never happened—I don’t talk that way.
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 14, 2013I love watching dummy @mcuban promote on ok show named Shark Tank—but he is just a small part of that show.
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 14, 2013There’s a reason @mcuban’s partners can’t stand him and on top of that, the team sucks!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 14, 2013.@mcuban has less TV persona thanany other person I can think of. He’s an arrogant, crude, dope who met some very stupid people...
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 14, 2013On March 15, Cubes finally responded:
. @realdonaldtrump Are you telling me I'm going to have to get a restraining order on you at some point ? & Thanks for watching .. again !
