Tool side project Puscifer puts Texas on newly announced fall tour
Puscifer, the rock band side project fronted by Tool singer Maynard James Keenan, has a new album and tour whose trajectory will cross through Texas. The band will release its third album, called Money Shot, on October 30, then head out on a six-week North American tour launching on November 1 at the Monster Mash festival in Phoenix.
Dallas is the second date, on November 3 at the Majestic Theater. Tickets go on sale Friday August 21 at 10 am. That's followed by Austin on November 4 at Bass Concert Hall, and San Antonio on November 5, at the Tobin Center.
From there, the tour heads to the east coast, then doubles back to the Pacific Northwest. Opening act is Venezuelan band Los Amigos Invisibles. Most of the venues are venerable old theaters. The tour ends in Las Vegas on December 12.
Their last outing was in 2012, for Conditions of My Parole, their second album.
Keenan tells Blabbermouth that this tour will feature "a whole new show," and that the band has been leaving "a few clues here and there as to what it may entail."
The lineup for the tour includes Mat Mitchell, Carina Round, Jeff Friedl, Mahsa Zargaran and Paul Barker of Ministry. Keenan is the only permanent member. He also has another band, A Perfect Circle, and dabbles in wine-making with his Arizona-based Caduceus Cellars.
