So much for "No More Drama" — Mary J. Blige postpones Dallas concert at AAC
Having a concert date at American Airlines Center in Dallas is starting to become a jinx. First, Madonna canceled a show in October due to laryngitis, and now Mary J. Blige has postponed her concert on November 18.
There's no word on why the concert is being postponed; the press release only mentions "unforeseen circumstances." Those circumstances were not foreseen just a week ago when Blige hyped the concert on her Facebook page. This was to have been Blige's first concert in more than two months on her Liberation Tour.
Although Blige has not yet announced when she'll be making her way back to Dallas — with plenty of canceled Dallas Stars games, she'll have her pick of dates — her fans can perhaps take solace in her latest tweet (actually a retweet of a Joel Osteen tweet), which almost seems to portend today's announcement:
Sometimes, what looks like a disappointment is simply God getting us into a position to see His greatness!
