New Richardson residences aim to please those young professional buyers
More evidence that Richardson’s on the rise: new luxury condominium flats opening in summer 2017 at 700 N. Plano Rd. Called the Residences on Duck Creek Trail, the one-level residences will have the square footage of traditional two-story townhomes.
That means they are lower maintenance than single-family homes and a nice alternative to apartment rentals. Young professionals, they’re looking at you.
The 27 residential flats, ranging in size from 1,700 to 1,900 square feet, will feature a spacious study and private corner balcony, with access to a centrally located courtyard and an outdoor amenity area adjacent to Duck Creek Trail. There will also be 16 traditional townhomes that will feature a dedicated private front yard.
Also desirable is the location. The development, adjacent to a picturesque pond and with access to Duck Creek (hence the name), is located within two miles of the blooming CityLine development, and 1.5 miles from the DART rail station at Arapaho.
A release calls the site “truly unique” and “an oasis in the middle of suburbia.” Developers wanted to complement the tranquil setting of Duck Creek but also fill a need within the city for more housing.
The homes will be priced from the mid-$300s. Construction is expected to start later this year.
