If the success of Blaine Bowen Jewelry hinged only on its launch party, we feel confident in predicting good things for designer Blaine Muhl. She threw a Coachella-inspired fete on the pool deck of the Residences at the Ritz-Carlton to introduce her brand to Dallas.
The gorgeous 27-year-old Kansas transplant, who could very well model her own pieces, came to Big D to spice up the accessories scene. And, rocking a chic crop top and high-waisted skirt, she did just that — on this day anyway.
Style-conscious attendees — including Kary Brittingham, Stacy Hicks, Shannon Yoachum, Hilary Kennedy and Danielle DiCesare — snacked and sipped while shopping the one-of-a-kind pieces. Particularly hot commodities were gemstone cuffs, pave diamond Texas rings and necklaces, and game day collection bracelets.

Speaking of game day bracelets, those may be the reason why Blaine Bowen Jewelry sounds so familiar: Muhl was selected to create a piece of jewelry for Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman.
The outspoken football player chose the designer to create a piece for his lineup of “official game day gear.” Just this week, Muhl had 1,000 orders for that item alone.
But she’s not banking only on that. “I want every piece I create to be delightful, exquisite and singular so it complements the inner and outer beauty of every person it,” she says.
Her pieces, like the launch party itself, are effortlessly stylish. They comprise earthy stones with pops of intense color, as seen in the Calypso cuff or the playful material mix-up happening in our favorite, the Cat Island Set.
Prices range from $15-$1,200, and the collection is currently available through her online store. Muhl also designs custom pieces.
“A lot of my design inspiration comes from nature, my travels, ancient history and my mother,” she says. Her mother, who worked in fashion, taught Muhl how to layer unexpected pieces.
Unexpected was also a theme at her coming-out party, where guests donned flower headbands and were treated to a braid bar from Pouf Blowout Bar. The Vogue Sketch was also on hand to draw quick pictures of these beauties hanging poolside.
And because Muhl also has a passion for philanthropy, 20 percent of the evening’s proceeds went to beneficiary Paws in the City.
“I also have a Pay It Forward collection, which is very important to me,” she says. “I like to take advantage of every opportunity that I can to give back.”
