For restaurants in Dallas these days, you gotta have brunch. Maggiano's Little Italy, the Brinker chain with two branches — one at NorthPark and one in Plano — recognizes this and is launching a nationwide brunch, featuring an Italian twist on traditional brunch dishes and drinks.
The company recently hosted a media event to share menu items that included eggs Benedict, crème brûlée French toast, lemon ricotta pancakes, and a vegetable frittata.
There'll be five versions of eggs Benedict, from standard options such as salmon and crab cake to a unique one with a meatball, which VP Steve Provost said was a signature item.
"We are known for our spaghetti and meatballs, so we had to do a meatball Benedict," he said. "When we do it as an entrée, the meatball is big. But we've done a smaller one for the Benedict, which we top with a dried Roma tomato, evocative of spaghetti sauce."
Brunch items come with thick skin-on potato wedges, and everyone gets a complimentary orange streusel-glazed muffin.
The brunch offering will debut on February 28, and will be offered on weekdays as well as weekends.
