Why this Dallas entertainment emporium is your fave new date-night spot

    CultureMap Create
    Jun 7, 2018 | 12:01 pm

Unless you've been, it's easy to mistake Pinstack for only a kid-friendly bowling venue. But it's actually primed to become your new go-to date-night destination, thanks to mouthwatering new menu items, cool craft cocktails, and endless entertainment options.

Whether you're just a twosome or bringing the whole gang, hit up any of the locations — Allen, Plano, or Las Colinas — and discover why Pinstack is so much more.

    Exceptional summer eats
Expect so much more than your standard bowling alley nachos and hotdogs. This summer, Pinstack's full-service restaurant has added new chef-inspired dishes that you can enjoy out on the patio or even order lane-side. Start off with the melty Pinstacked cheese fries and then tackle the taco supreme pizza, prosciutto-wrapped barbecue mahi-mahi, or summer watermelon salad.

    Crafty cocktails
Pair your meal with one of the new seasonal craft cocktails. To treat your SO, order the "his" and "hers" sangrias. You can also choose from a Key lime pie martini, refreshing cucumber mule, and the Pain Killer, which is a tempting mix of rum, creme de coconut, orange juice, and pineapple juice. For beer and wine lovers, Pinstack has extensive collections of both.

    Spare a strike
Now that your stomach's happy, check out the activities. Bowling is the main attraction here, and for good reason. Play on one of the 28 state-of-the-art lanes and enjoy lane-side food and drink service, or reserve the VIP suite for a special event.

    High above it all
If you're feeling a bit more adventurous, test your smarts and agility on the high ropes course that hangs 20 feet above the video game floor. Another way to conquer a fear of heights is by scaling the 28-foot rock-climbing wall. With stellar LED lights, the experience is unlike any indoor rock-climbing wall you've ever tried.

    Game on
Pinstack takes foosball to an entire new level. Play the game with 15 of your closest friends or meet some new ones at this massive, 16-player foosball table. And who says arcade games are just for kids? Charm your date with your mad Skee-Ball skills or play a friendly game of air hockey with your pals. A wide selection of video games, from The Walking Dead to Target Bravo to the World's Largest Pac-Man, presents a challenge for even the most skilled gamers.

    In it to win it
When was the last time you hopped into a bumper car? Relive those State Fair feels and safely let out any road rage in Pinstack's bumper car area. There's also a two-level laser tag course where players dodge glowing pillars and tackle obstacles while fog and high-intensity music pump through the rooms.

Cool off with the refreshing summer watermelon salad.
