Where to shop in Dallas right now: 7 must-hit stores for July
Shopping is like riding a bike. Although it may have been a while since you've hit the stores, you'll get back in the swing of things as soon as you are ready to return. And if you don't feel comfortable shopping in person, you can always shop online. These buzzy Dallas-area stores and sales are worth a swipe of your credit card or a click of your mouse this month.
Audemars Piguet
Swiss watches? You have our attention. The Audemars and Piguet families still control this luxury watchmaking manufacturer, which is based in the Vallée de Joux in the heart of the Swiss mountains. Lucky for Dallasites, the brand recently opened a small shop in Highland Park Village, where it offers both traditional timepieces and one-of-a-kind creations.
Draper James
Lovers of Reese Witherspoon's adorable Southern-inspired clothing finally can shop again in person at the Southlake Town Square boutique. The only thing difference? Visits are by appointment only out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of employers and patrons alike. Guests can book a one-hour time slot here. Also, the boutique is accepting cashless payments only at this time.
Queen Maddyn
Warning: Cuteness ahead. This brand by Jordyn McQueen, based in Waco, features adorable "matching" designs that let mommy and baby to share the same look. Offered in new prints each season, the gift sets are the best sellers. They allow shoppers to chose from either a nursery set with a crib sheep and a diaper changing cover or one of the collections that comes with a ladies robe, baby gown, and an accessory (bow, cap, swaddle). Find a local boutique that sells the brand here.
Susan Saffron Jewelry Boutique
On the market for a fabulous new piece of jewelry? The summer sale at Lovers Lane's favorite bling boutique runs through July 18. The entire store is up to 70 percent off, including designs by Zoe Chicco, Lana Jewelry, Julie Vos, EF Collection, and more.
Trova Wine + Market
Located at The Plaza at Preston Center, this wine bar is more than just a place to enjoy wines and snacks. It's also a new place to shop for the foodies in your life. Think honey from Sparta, Greece and early harvest extra virgin olive oils from the small Greek fishing village of Koroni. Trova, which translates to "find" in Italian, opens its doors July 16, and you can read more about it here.
Valentino Men
Originally opened in November 2017 in Highland Park Village, the luxury brand just expanded to include 690 more square feet for menswear. The larger space allows the store to showcase men's shoes, ready-to-wear, accessories, and more.
Wisteria
The Dallas interior design world was rocked when this beloved decor shop announced it was going out of business after two decades. While no final closing date has been revealed, online sales have ceased. In-store shopping is still possible, and all merchandise is at least 50 percent off. Follow their Facebook page for more information and closing details.
