Edgy menswear brand Psycho Bunny pops open temporary store at Dallas' NorthPark Center
Just in time for a fall closet refresh, New York-based brand Psycho Bunny has opened its first Texas pop-up in NorthPark Center.
Launched in 2005 by Robert Godley and Robert Goldman — known as the "two Roberts" — the cult favorite is known for meticulously crafted menswear with an irreverent streak.
Classic tees and polos are made in Peru from 100 percent pima cotton and come in an array of vibrant colors. Starting at $85, polos are designed to be dressed up or down, working with any style.
Featuring the brand's signature emblem — a crazed rabbit and crossbones that requires 4,000 stitches — pieces are created with an emphasis on quality, the company says. Psycho Bunny's one-of-a-kind diamond knit retains its shape wash after wash — and thoughtful details, such as taped seams and side vents, ensure a perfect fit and eliminate nuisances like rolling collars, they say.
Hailing from families with ties to men's fashion, the Roberts conceived the idea for Psycho Bunny, and sketched the now-iconic logo, over a steak dinner. Their website recounts the story and brand philosophy like this: "That day, against the sounds of clinking plates and slicing steaks, Mr. Godley sketched the iconic identity. A bunny skull and crossbones. Two elements working as one. Rebellion with style, sophisticated mischief so to speak."
From the very beginning, their goal was to create a brand that combined "tradition with edge," they say. Fifteen years and $20 million later, mission accomplished.
Previously available only online and at department stores such as Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus, Psycho Bunny began its American takeover two years ago with its first store in Miami.
The NorthPark pop-up is the brand's Texas debut, and may be converted to a permanent location in the future, the shopping center says. It is open now, on level one near Rebecca Taylor and MAC.
Drop in during normal business hours — 10 am-8 pm Monday-Saturday and 12-6 pm Sunday — to stock up on tees, polos, activewear, and other essentials for men and boys.
