With construction under way on Hall Arts Residences, a new residential high-rise going up in Dallas' Arts District, the sales and marketing components have kicked in, and that includes a fully designed model unit to show off the building's unique perks and views.
Hall Arts is the condo-hotel project taking a city block at Leonard Street, in between Ross Avenue and Flora Street from developer Craig Hall. Located next to Hall's KPMG Plaza office tower, the building will include 44 condos, starting at $2 million, and an adjoining boutique hotel with 133 rooms.
Hall hosted a preview of the model, joined by Eddie Ebeyta, of HKS Inc., the company designing the tower; and Emily Summers, who did the interior design of the model unit.
Attendees got to caress the marble countertops, swing open the door to the stainless steel Gaggenau oven, and gaze across the living room and down upon the construction site like masters of the universe — all while sipping on exclusive glasses of Hall's new wine, a less expensive red called "Craig," for sale only to members of the Hall Wines club.
The residences' exterior are (almost) entirely glass and the units face north, eschewing the downtown skyline (so obvious!) in favor of the Arts District and Uptown Dallas. On their daily comings and goings, residents get access to an array of art objects culled from the Halls' extensive personal collection, as well as the Hall Texas Sculpture Walk, with 18 sculptures installed across a half-acre walkway.
Amenities include what one might expect from a luxury high-rise — 24/7 valet service, a private and secure underground garage, infinity pool, fitness center, club room, and entertaining lounge — but with a few extras that reflect the Halls' unique perspective, including a wine room, dog run/pet park, an on-site concierge team, and LEED certification for the building.
And there's one other perk that only Hall Arts can provide: the Halls themselves as neighbors. Hall and his wife, Kathryn, will occupy a two-story unit on the sixth/seventh floor, with its own darling patio and dedicated pool — generously leaving the two-story penthouse on top of the building for another buyer.
