Dallas' most devoted fashion followers joined proud Los Angeles-based co-owners Kristen Lee and Brady Cunningham for the opening of their new ventures TenOverSix, Weekend Coffee and the new Commerce Street lobby at The Joule hotel downtown.
Lee's 2-year-old-son, Jackson, and Cunningham's 2-year-old daughter, Marlowe, were not the only ones who couldn't stop gazing at the store's carefully curated and artistic wares. That said, they were definitely the cutest works of art in the room.
Margaritas and old fashioneds from the new lobby bar got everyone — including Traffic LA owners Sarah and Michael Moldovan, Lynn McBee, Shelle Sills, Nancy Rogers, Brooke Hortenstine, Matthew Simon, and Amanda Reed — mixing and mingling in the Joule's newest spaces.
As for entertainment, Austin-based indie folk band Wild Child, husband-and-wife duo Doom and Gloom and DJ Robert Schwartzman took turns with the tunes. Bad Day Magazine creator Eva Michon also captivated attendees with a series of short films.
TenOverSix launched in fall 2008 in Los Angeles, exploring the interplay between relevant fashion, design and art. It joins other LA fashion favorite Traffic in the newly expanded Joule hotel complex.
