The Wilkinson Center's mission is to transform the lives of Dallas families by providing pathways to self-sufficiency with dignity and respect. It helps families face critical life challenges including food insecurity, lack of education, economic instability, unemployment, and underemployment. All the programs are provided free of charge.
The Wilkinson Center provides opportunities for individual and small group volunteers in their various programs, including food and emergency services, adult education, and family enhancement programs. Head here for more information and to fill out an application.
Launched in 2012, The White Party is the largest fundraiser for The Wilkinson Center. Hosted by Young Friends, the evening features live music, food, drinks, and a signature color of attire.
The Young Friends of Wilkinson Center was established in 2011 and has raised over $115,000 since its inception. They are a group of dynamic young professionals committed to building sustainable resources that empower Wilkinson Center clients to become self-sufficient and improve their lives.
