16th Annual Stomp Wars

Nearly 1,000 youth of color (ages 12-18) from around the U.S. will compete in Stomp Wars, the nation’s largest step competition for the grand prize and scholarships. Movies such as Stomp the Yard and DrumLine have popularized this African American dance form which is a high-energy form of stepping and dancing mixed with acrobatic moves. Stomp Wars youth steppers come from around the nation, with 25 states currently represented. In addition to the Stomp Wars competition, Instagram sensation Big Boss Vette will perform her hit single "Pretty Girls Walk Like This."
