As part of the 17th International Theatre Festival, Grupo Teatral Tehuantepec presents Otro Día de Fiesta (Another Day Partying), about the encounter of the genesis and outcome of the conflicted yet loving relationship between Concha and Amanda.

Concha is the mother of three young girls who struggles between her affectionate feelings and addictions in order to survive next to her daughters. Amanda is a gay man who defends his feelings of love in the middle of a double disguised morality. Concha and Amanda keep a dense, emotional, rancorous relationship that also involves solidarity and tenderness in a complex cultural background on the region of Tehuantepec.

It’s often said that in the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, Mexico, women command and gay men are well accepted by the community even if they dress in skirts.
