There are few films as notorious as Heaven's Gate, director Michael Cimino’s legendary western epic that was his follow-up to The Deer Hunter. The original film was pulled from American theaters one week into its release and subsequently reissued in a much shorter version. Panned initially, many now see it as a film that should be considered amongst Cimino's best. This is one of the few times the full, uncut, 3 1/2 hour version will be shown on the big screen.
