The 8th Annual DanceAfrica Festival and Marketplace is a family friendly festival with performances that celebrate the heritage and culture of the African and African American Diasporas. The festival and marketplace will begin with a parade on Flora Street at 9:45am in front of the Dallas Museum of Art.

Community talent will be featured throughout the day with performances and open dance classes at the Annette Strauss Artist Square, as well as vendors selling merchandise and food. GEiMS Concord Youth Praise Dancers, Anita Martinez Ballet Folklorico, Dallas Youth Repertory Project, Grupo Folklorico Mexico Lindo, Hip Hop Nation Dance and Fitness Academy, Mosaic Dance Project - Tarrant County College (Northwest Campus) and Chris Rollins and Co. are groups currently scheduled to perform. A children's area will include bounce houses, face painting and arts and crafts.
