The 2013 Jewish Film Festival of Dallas will present Hava Nagila, a documentary about the classic Jewish song. "Hava Nagila" is to music what the bagel is to food. It’s musical shorthand for anything Jewish. This hit movie takes you from the shtetls of Eastern Europe to the nightclubs of New York, as filmmaker Roberta Grossman weaves together the history of the Jewish standard that transcended its humble origins to become a worldwide phenomenon. It features interviews with Harry Belafonte, Connie Francis, Danny Kaye, Leonard Nimoy and others.

The screening will feature a closing brunch with dueling accordions and dancing.
