The Dallas Arboretum, along with more than 500 other gardens nationwide, will celebrate National Public Gardens Awareness Day. The Arboretum will be handing out free Sweet Basil seed packets to all visitors to the gardens on that day to help families plant the seed for education and the benefits of public gardens in our city. The annual National Public Gardens Awareness Day raises awareness for the importance of public gardens in environmental stewardship, plant and water conservation and education.
