2013 USA Film Festival: Caesar Must Die

Caesar Must Die is a docudrama about a troupe of actors preparing for a public performance of William Shakespeare’s The Tragedy of Julius Caesar. But the thespians are hardened inmates, and their theater is the maximum security Rebibbia Prison in Rome. It is a setting and conceit that provides fertile new ground for the Bard’s drama, as the film follows these men from rehearsal to performance of the play, injecting aspects of themselves into their characters and vice versa.

The film will be introduced by distributor Jeff Lipsky of Adopt Films.
