Heroes for Children will promote Childhood Cancer Awareness Month with the Heroes for Children Heart of Gold 5K & Fun Run. The fundraiser benefits Heroes for Children, which tries to ensure that no family with a child battling cancer will fight alone.

The event starts off with the annual commemorative balloon release, followed by Family Fun Run and the 5K Run/Walk. The event will also include plenty of entertainment with prizes and awards, giveaways, bounce houses, face painting, music and more.

The race will start in Galatyn Park outside of Eisemann Center for the Performing Arts.
