2014 Lone Star Film Festival: Beloved Sisters

eventdetail

The Lone Star Film Festival will present the regional premiere of Beloved Sisters. In 1788, German poet Friedrich Schiller (Florian Stetter) falls for the shy, cash-strapped aristocrat Charlotte (Henriette Confurius) – only to soon realize that it’s Charlotte’s married sister Catherine (Hannah Herzsprung) who really lights his fire.

Germany’s submission for the Best Foreign Language Film Oscar, Beloved Sisters – directed by Dominik Graf – plays like a deliciously entertaining mash-up of Jane Austen, Barry Lyndon and The Real Housewives of Weimar.
