The first annual Smoked Dallas will be a full day of smoked meats and smokin’ tunes at Main Street Garden in downtown Dallas.
Smoked’s edible offerings will be prepared by 15 traditional pitmasters and celebrated chefs doing their take on barbeque. Among the participating BBQ joints are Black’s Barbecue (Lockhart), BBQ on the Brazos (Cresson), Bet on the House BBQ (Denton), Billy's Oak Acres (Fort Worth), Cafe Momentum (Dallas), Cousin’s Bar-B-Q (Fort Worth), Frank Underwood (Dallas), Haute Sweets Patisserie (Dallas), Hutchins BBQ (McKinney, TX), Kent Rathbun (Dallas), Lockhart Smokehouse (Dallas and Plano), Longoria's BBQ (Everman), Louie Mueller Barbecue (Taylor), Schmidt Family Barbecue (Bee Cave) and Stanley’s Famous Pit Bar-B-Q (Tyler).
Singer-songwriter Bob Schneider and blues/funk/soul band Black Joe Lewis will headline the music side of things, with Sarah Jaffe, The Tontons, Matt Hillyer and Lost Coyote, fronted by nationally acclaimed chef, Dean Fearing, also performing.
There will also be lifestyle booths featuring businesses like Ascot + Hart, PhotoWagon and Hair By Charlie’s Pop Up Barbershop, and sweets from Haute Sweets Patisserie.
Charity partner Café Momentum, founded by Chef Chad Houser, provides at-risk youth with job skills, mentors and networking opportunities within the restaurant and culinary industries. Students enrolled in the CM program will prepare side dishes at Smoked Dallas.
