Filmed in faux-documentary style and philosophical in nature, Nicolas Carreras’ sleeper comedy from Argentina stars real-life wine expert Charlie Arturaola as a sommelier who loses his palate in the middle of a wine festival - a potentially career-ending “injury” that sends him scrambling for a cure. His search for the perfect bottle of wine takes him to some unexpected places and puts him back in touch with something more important than tasting wine: the art of making it. Charlie Arturaola will be in attendance.
Immediately following the film screening at the theater, Arturaola and restaurateur Abraham Salum will host a 5-wine, 5-course private dinner at Salum Restaurant celebrating the food and wines of Argentina. Special guest Alejandro Escudero, Executive Chef from the Park Hyatt Mendoza in Argentina will prepare the feast.
Tickets for movie & wine dinner are $150 each and are available only through the USA Film Festival by calling 214-821-6300. Proceeds benefit the KidFilm outreach programs of the USA Film Festival. Special thanks to QW Wine Experts for their support of this event.
