Illinois and Louisiana Tech will face off in the 2014 Zaxby's Heart of Dallas Bowl. This will be the fourth appearance in five years by a team from the Big Ten Conference in the game, while Conference USA will be making its third overall and second consecutive appearance following a University of North Texas 36-14 victory over UNLV in last year’s Heart of Dallas Bowl.
