After Jake Blues (John Belushi) is released from the Joliet penitentiary, he and his brother Elwood (Dan Aykroyd) visit their old Catholic orphanage and learn its future is in jeopardy. The brothers decide to raise the cash needed to save it by getting their old band back together and putting on a show. They embark on this “mission from God” leading them to Chicago where they encounter run-ins with suburban cops, good ol’ boys and Nazis. Epic musical numbers and sensational car chases abound as the Blues Brothers press on.

The Blues Brothers is more than just your typical comedy or musical. The cast and musical appearances in the film alone showcases some of the best comedic and musical talent in film history. What started out as a musical skit on Saturday Night Live now has a huge cult following—an entire restaurant/entertainment chain to boot—and continues to play a major role in American pop culture.

Director John Landis will be in attendance for a very special screening of this American classic.
