Bishop Fred A. Jones and his family have been singing gospel music for decades, starting at small revivals and mostly empty churches in rural Southeast Texas. Their raspy, old school soulful sound attracts atheist music critic and gospel music historian, Michael Corcoran.

The two men create a unique bond and Corcoran becomes an advocate and promoter for the family’s music, helping to book a show at SXSW and produce a new album with indie rock veterans John Croslin and Eric Friend.

Director Alan Berg takes us on the family’s musical journey, sharing their struggles and their successes. The Jones Family Will Make a Way gives audiences a beautiful, raw behind-the-scenes look at this talented, three-generation family band. The film-and the music-is guaranteed to get your toes tapping until the final credit.
