The Heritage Farmstead Museum of Plano will host its third annual FarmFest, a fall family event celebrating the area's agricultural heritage.
Event special exhibits include Tractors and Hit 'n Miss Engines from the Wylie Tractor Club, as well as Romulus and Remus: the Tallest Donkeys in the World. The event will also include demonstrations of blacksmithing, cotton spinning and weaving and presentations by costumed characters from the Texana Living History Association.
Other event highlights include chicken poop bingo and contests such as hog calling, rooster crowing, donkey braying, pie eating and a kids pedal tractor pull.
The Farmstead will also present a new theme for 2015-2016 entitled Our Town, which will include two new exhibits: Life on the Blackland Prairie 1891 will be on display in the Farrell Wilson House and Our Town Plano: Remember When will be on display in the Young House.
