At the 9th annual Mama Ida's Ice Cream Social, guests can taste and help pick a winner from the variety of ice cream, gelato and sorbet creations from local culinary students and participants of the nutrition and culinary arts program at the Dallas County Youth Village.

Local vendors provide the fruit, nuts and herbs while the public decides who will win the top honor.
