The Humana Rock ‘n’ Roll Dallas has unveiled a new course for 2016, which will start at Young Street and Lamar Street and finish at The Lawn at Reunion. The half marathon will take runners on a tour of downtown including Deep Ellum, Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge, The Bishop Arts District, and Houston Street Bridge, where participants will get a firsthand look at the Dallas skyline.

The event will feature two-days of running with the Rock ‘n’ Roll 5K. Participants can take the Remix Challenge by running both Saturday and Sunday to earn the coveted Remix Challenge medal in addition to each race’s finisher medals.

Race weekend kicks off with a free Health & Fitness Expo, where runners can find numerous vendors, showcasing the latest in running gear, sports apparel and health and nutritional information.

Local bands will play through the streets of Dallas, along with spectators and cheerleading teams lining the route to motivate runners to the finish line. Upon finishing, participants are invited to relax and celebrate with family and friends at the finish line festival.

Grammy award-winning band Blues Traveler will headline the post-race Toyota Rock ‘n’ Roll Concert Series. Blues Traveler will perform for thousands of runners and spectators at the finish line festival in downtown Dallas.
