Edgemere, an SQLC retirement community, is gearing up to host its 2nd annual Forget-Me-Not Gala. The public event is in support of the Greater Dallas Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. The Gala is one of the main events contributing to Edgemere’s 2017 pledge to raise $20,000 to help fight Alzheimer’s disease.
The event will feature music, cocktails, a five-course dinner and a silent auction with items donated by local businesses. Representatives from the Greater Dallas Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association will be in attendance to express their appreciation and discuss the need for fundraising to support Alzheimer’s research. This is one of several events the community will hold this year to raise money and awareness for Alzheimer’s disease, which is the sixth leading cause of death in the United States.
