The Dragon Boat Festival pits local and regional teams of up to 25 paddlers rowing traditional Chinese boats in a series of competitive heats on a 300 meter, fully-buoyed race course. Experienced racers as well as beginners of all sizes and fitness levels are encouraged to join the fun. A minimum of ten female paddlers per team is required in order to be eligible to compete.
