
Continuing the tradition of honoring the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy, fourth and fifth-grade students in Dallas will deliver original three-to-five minute speeches, answering the question: “What is your dream for today’s world?”
More than 120 students representing 16 Dallas ISD schools participated in the in-school competitions held in the fall. One student from each participating school was selected to advance to the semifinal round. Of the 16 students, eight will advance to the final competition. Criteria for judging include delivery, stage presence, and content interpretation and memorization at all three competition levels.
