The 5th Annual Harlem Renaissances Festival and Extravaganza is designed to take everyone back to the Harlem Renaissance Era. The event will time warp to the era of the Big Bands, Swing Dance, The Cotton Club, The Savoy, Duke Ellington, Cab Calloway, and when jazz was at its peak.
The Harlem Renaissances Festival and Extravaganza will feature Shelley Carrol of the Duke Ellington Orchestra along with his Big Band. They will be joined by poetry of the greats like Langston Hughes. The event will be hosted by Verb.
Other highlights include a classic car show, swing dancers, and pop-up [erformances throughout the evening from various artists performing hits from the Harlem Renaissance Era.
