The musically themed Toyota Rock ‘n’ Roll Dallas Half Marathon is expected to draw 13,000 runners. The 13.1-mile race will start on Young St. and Lamar St. (near the Omni Dallas Hotel) and will take runners on a tour of downtown and the Dallas skyline, including the spectacular sights of Deep Ellum, Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge, The Bishop Arts District, and Houston Street Bridge.
While taking in the beautiful scenery, participants will experience enhanced support and community engagement as they move along to more music than ever with all new mile-markers that include speakers and race pacers who will be running with mobile speaker packs. Live bands will also be performing along the course, interspersed with cheerleaders and themed water stations all the way to the finish at The Lawn at Reunion where Hayes Carll will perform.
Race weekend kicks off with the free Health & Fitness Expo located at Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center where runners can pick up their race weekend packet. Exhibitors will offer free samples, showcase the latest in running gear, sports apparel, health and nutritional information, and much more.
