The Pegasus Film Festival, a product of the Pegasus Film Society, which bridges the opportunity-gap for students who lack funds for film equipment and a summer camp for filmmaking, launched in 2016 as a vision to encourage young filmmakers of North Texas to share their stories through a platform completely spearheaded by high school students. Every year, a new team of brilliant minds is selected to plan, promote and execute the festival.
The 4th Annual Pegasus Film Festival presents 90 minutes worth of curated short films by high school students and will present awards including Best Narrative, Best Experimental, Best Documentary, Best Mental Health/Suicide Prevention PSA, and Best Emerging Storyteller.
