Downtown McKinney will host the annual Krewe of Barkus Mardi Gras dog parade and festival. The theme of the parade is "Out of This World: From Astronauts to Aliens, Barkus Shoots for the Stars," paying homage to the world of Star Wars, Trekkies, and the great beyond.
Attendees can visit more than 20 pet-related/general vendors. The parade will feature more than 300 participating dogs and owners, with a variety of dog costume award categories, including Best in Show, Most Creative, Best Dog-Owner Combo, Best Group, and Best Use of Theme.
