For one evening only, guests can explore emerging experimental design concepts and discover new and progressive architectural ideas at a pop-up gallery exhibition celebrating the 2018 AIA Dallas Unbuilt Design Awards and Student Design Awards. Guests are invited to peruse the gallery and vote on their favorite designs while mingling with the jurors and enjoying hors d’oeuvres and music.
The awards ceremony and gallery show will include the announcement of the People’s Choice Award winner based on ballots cast online and during the reception, as well as the official announcement of the 2018 Unbuilt Design Award winners selected by nationally renowned architect jurors.
The 2018 architect jurors include Michelle Addington, dean of the University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture; Nancy Hou, co-founder and principal at Hou de Sousa and lecturer at the Parsons School of Design; and Elena Manferdini, principal and owner at Atelier Manferdini and graduate programs chair at the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc).
