AIR Time will present performing artist, singer-songwriter Brianna Ruelas, who will share her story about what inspired her to write her book, Performing Artist Pathway: Navigate the Highs and Lows On Your Music Journey. Her book speaks to the emotional journey, highs and lows, performing artists experience as they pursue their dreams. It answers the artist's need for guidance and practical advice on taking that next step to realize their own success in music.
As a singer and performer for 25 years, Brianna has studied internationally and performed all genres, from jazz to rock to pop, received a BA in Theatre Arts from Pepperdine University, and spent years honing her musical theatre chops. After graduating college, Brianna changed her focus on theatre to pursue music as a solo artist and also worked as a commercial voiceover actor. Brianna has fronted her own rock band and experienced the reality television craze in its early days as a Top 100 finalist on American Idol, Season 4.
Following the interview, guests are invited to stay for the evening’s movie selection, Almost Famous, directed and produced by Cameron Crowe, and starring Kate Hudson, Patrick Fugit, and Billy Crudup. A high school boy is given the chance to write a story for Rolling Stone about an up-and-coming rock band as he accompanies them on their concert tour.
