Sarah Lawrence Riehm, recently dubbed a “gifted second-wind playwright” by the National Winter Playwrights Retreat, has a variety of theater projects in the works. A Richardson resident, Riehm (known professionally as Sarah Lawrence), has long loved writing and the stage.

Her most recently produced play was All Ye Who Enter Here, which ran in 2014 at the historic off-Broadway Soho Playhouse in New York. Her first play, Liberty, was recently announced as a semifinalist in the Book Pipeline Competition, a national search for plays suited to adaptation to the screen.

The movie for this offering of AIR Time is Birdman, the Oscar-winning film starring Michael Keaton, Zach Galifianakis, and Edward Norton. Birdman is the story of the once famous Riggan Thomson, played by Keaton, known for his role as “Birdman” in multiple films, is now seeking his real calling and fame through the writing, development and presenting of a Broadway play.
