This AIR Time interview, presented by AIR (Arts Incubator of Richardson) and moderated by David Fisher, features Six Springs Tavern owners, Keri and Brad Springs. In partnership with Richardson Reads One Book, this event adds another layer of thought and discussion to the 2019 RROB selection, Bluebird, Bluebird by Attica Locke.

Keri and Brad feel strongly about supporting local Texas musicians, focusing on those who present their original music live at Six Springs Tavern. Not only is it a wonderful venue for the musicians, but equally satisfying for those in the audience as it features state-of-the-art sound, no TV screens, great food, and a true sense of community. Discover more about the Springs' journey through the world of independent musicians.

This evening’s movie selection is Lone Star (1996, R, 2h 15m), directed by John Sayles, and starring Chris Cooper, Elizabeth Peña, Stephen Mendillo, and Matthew McConaughey. This film echoes the theme of the RROB selection as Sheriff Sam Deeds (Cooper) unearths buried secrets in this small Texas border town after the skeleton of his murdered predecessor is found. Featuring a stellar soundtrack that punctuates themes inherent in this borderland, musicians include Freddy Fender, Lucinda Williams, and Ivory Joe Hunter.
