The Texas Theatre will celebrate the 40th anniversary of Airplane! with a special drive-in screening projected across an airplane hanger at the Frontiers of Flight Museum.

Airplane!, written and directed by David and Jerry Zucker and Jim Abrahams, stars Robert Hays and Julie Hagerty and features Leslie Nielsen, Robert Stack, Lloyd Bridges, Peter Graves, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. In 2010, the film was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress, was voted by fans as the funniest movie of all time on Ranker, and was voted No.1 in Time Magazine’s “The 50 Funniest Comedies Ever” poll.

The parking lot opens at 7 pm, and the movie starts at 8 pm. Snacks, drinks, and merch will be available to order via  phone and will be delivered to your car via a Team Texas Theatre member wearing a mask. Only 70 car slot tickets will be sold. All tickets include two vouchers to visit the museum during regular business hours.
