In 1968, George A. Romero created what would go on to be the modern zombie genre as we know it with Night of the Living Dead. 10 years later, he redefined it with what is widely considered as the zenith of the genre with Dawn of the Dead. Almost 40 years later, it remains just as groundbreaking and influential a film as does Romero's contribution to Horror and filmmaking in general.
Alamo Drafthouse Richardson has teamed up with Texas Frightmare Weekend to present a very special showing of the film with a rare appearance by Mr. Romero, along with Makeup & Special Effects Wizard Tom Savini and key cast members David Emge (Stephen) and Scott Reiniger (Roger) in attendance.
