Listen UP! at University Park Library will welcome author Amy Bloom to talk about her book, Lucky Us. 

Disappointed by their families, two half sisters thrown together in mid-life, journey across 1940s America in search of fame and fortune. Their ambitions take them from small-town Ohio to an unexpected and sensuous Hollywood, across the country in a stolen station wagon, to the jazz clubs and golden mansions of Long Island.

The event is free and open to the public. Books will be available for purchase and a book signing will follow the presentation. A reception at 6 pm, by reservation only, precedes the event.
