Anita N. Martinez Ballet Folklorico will present Homenaje A Los Grandes, a Day of the Dead production. The event highlights the act of remembering with their annual Dia de Muertos show.

Homenaje A Los Grandes is a new work created to honor the influential voices in Mexican and Mexican American Music, including Lola Beltran, Selena, Jose Jose, Ritchie Valens, and Juan Gabriel. These are the artists many Latino families grew up listening to, idealizing and their music is strongly tied to the memories of our loved ones.

The production will combine the traditional artistry of folklorico and sounds of Mariachi Aguilas de America, with the contemporary sounds of modern Mexican American music, to not only remember these great musicians but explore the memories woven within these well known songs.
