The Ant Colony will present the new exhibit, Olive Gee Hellstrom: Sobreviviremos. Hellstrom is an individual in the midst of a consumerist, television obsessed, fast-paced, slow-witted, money-hungry, Republican, male-driven and God fearing society. At the beginning of a life-long career, making just enough money to eek by, warmed by the safety of health insurance and a steady income.

Feeling trapped by debt, student loans, and an inability to save money. When she creates art, she remembers who she is. She breaks free from the monotony of the mundane.

Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display through April 26.
