The Ant Colony will present Teresa Megahan: Cosmic Kismet Trigger Effect. The Cosmic Kismet Trigger Effect is a real-time collage of local luminaries drawn from neighboring galaxies. Subject-artists will be on hand to view the portrait for the first time, as rendered by Megahan.
Patrons will experience the reveal, as well as provide the prompts for an improvisational variety show, inspired by the perpetual motion of Rube Goldberg machines, and juxtaposing the talents of the featured artists. Respond, relate, translate, and transcend. Cascade with us into a spontaneous multiverse where each spark defines a new constellation of co-creation.
Share in the joy of getting to know local creatives in their solitary moments, as well as in their live performances. Come let us get to know you better through response and participation. The Cosmic Kismet Trigger Effect is a study of how creative unction and assembly yields those pinnacle moments we acknowledge as kismet.
Megahan, a local science teacher, has spent the summer transversing the metroplex on her time-traveling bike; while also completing 15 sittings with painters, musicians, poets, comedians, performance artists and writers. This show features the outcome of her escapades as portraits and montage video.
Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display through September 13.
